William Reginald Didcock

8th March 1919 - 21st March 2002

William known fondly as Bill, passed away 4 months after the loss of his wife, Vera.

Bill worked on the railways for 49 years. He began in 1935 as a booking boy, working through the grades to become a signalman first class. Rather than stay on in the powerbox, he opted to become a member of the relaying gang where he stayed until he retired in 1986. He was a good friend and trusted colleague.

He enjoyed his gardening and loved nothing better than spending his free time out in the open air tending his rather large veggie plot, though he did often wonder how he managed to work and garden sometimes!

He leaves a daughter,Chris; two grandaughters Nicky and Elle; and a great grandaughter, Natasha.

He is greatly missed - his wit, his wisdom and his love.

Always in our hearts.
